Rebecca Davis Winters became interested in the life and music of Alan Wilson when she was a teenager. Rejecting faddish bands such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam, she instead immersed herself in a collection of vinyl LP records. This led her to the music of Canned Heat. She would follow her dream to research the life of band founder Alan Wilson, uncover the secrets of his mysterious death, and document the wonders of his artistic accomplishments in the first book-length biography of this creative genius.
Rebecca is a freelance writer, consultant, Runeologist, and gardener. She lives in the Rocky Mountains with her husband, where she enjoys making crafts and hanging out with friends. Her next book, a manual of Runic procedures and policies, will be released in 2010.
